MISSION

The Mission of Asian.GOP is raise the awareness in Asian Communities about the importance of participating in the political process, which has a great impact on everyone's life, for future generations, and for the fate of this great nation. Moreover, we:

• Introduce, explain, and promulgate the Republican values and principles that are similar to those of Asians (merit, hard work, self-responsibility, family values, and etc).

• Examine the stereotypes within political parties that prevail in our communities; rationalize what policies or platforms of which party reflects our values; examine in what aspects who better represents our interests and the long-term development of our country; and clear the myths formed through years of misinformed propaganda; and think out-of-the-box.

• Form the organization in our communities nationwide to efficiently and effectively:

  Share the thoughts, findings, and collateral material in our respective languages as well as in English, and with respect of our cultural background.

  Together, help each other to participate in local/national politics and public services, such as to vote, join town-hall and local meetings, and get our voices heard; to contribute time, energy, and funds in the political process.

  Facilitate the relationship between our local groups and Republican local chapters and clubs, catalyzing our involvement in mainstream politics.

  Discover talents at different stages of our lives; train and promote the perspectives so that we can engender political representatives or public servants; facilitate the proper representation of our community in the government and party structure, as well as on boards of public enterprises.

  Work with different sections and organizations of our communities for our common causes, including business communities, cultural associations, educational institutions, ethnic media, etc.

  Think collectively how our flawed governments and political system can reform itself; share our thoughts with other communities, and promote the structural reforms as well as the operational improvement for a more effective, transparent, and accountable government that truly represents people who put them there, instead of the special interests.

  Harness technology in order to energize the grassroots movement; enable the connections bridging the geographical hurdle and cultural differences of organizations; make the financial operation efficient and transparent; and unleash the power of big data to revolutionize the way communities are engaged for effective results, accountability, and improvements.

Our communities have been experiencing unprecedented change since 2013 at the grassroots level. It is problematic when we put our heads down and only take care of our own little space, or hope that all our public affairs are taken care of by others without our involvement. We are now learning and wondering what we can do, where we should go, and what the best solutions are for our communities and our nation, especially when these impact directly on our lives and the lives of our children. It is now the right time to organize and make our choices based on our values, principles, and vision for the long-term prosperity of this great nation.
