House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) said the new term is shaping up to be the beginning of the "most productive Congress and presidency in our lifetime."
Ryan told Sean Hannity that he and President Trump are in near-constant communication regarding their agenda.
He and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) put together a "200-day plan," Ryan said, which aims to pass several of Trump's agenda items through the Congress in due time.
"We are exactly on track and on our timeline with our agenda," he said, adding that a completion of such a plan could result in the "most productive Congress and presidency in our lifetimes."
Ryan called Trump a conservative who is ready to face the challenges of his office, and said the New York Republican moves "so fast that people are scrambling to catch up."
